Kashega

Abandoned village in Alaska.

Record

About Kashega

Kashega was an Aleut settlement located on the north coast of Unalaska Island, in Kashega Bay. Along with several other villages, Kashega was forcibly evacuated during World War II and permanently abandoned following the war.

This is a site record: what public sources say about Kashega, gathered in one place. We haven't written a full guide yet, so history, current access and photos are still to come. Treat the status as unknown until a guide confirms it.
