About Rye
Rye is an unincorporated community in Manatee County, Florida. It was established as a fort during conflict with the Seminoles and developed into a community with orange groves, cattle ranching, and a Manatee River crossing after the conflict.
This is a site record: what public sources say about Rye, gathered in one place. We haven't written a full guide yet, so history, current access and photos are still to come. Treat the status as unknown until a guide confirms it.
