About Villa City

Villa City is an abandoned community in Lake County, Florida. Founded by George T. King of Massachusetts, it featured dozens of homes and a post office in a citrus growing area in the late 19th century until a hard freeze in February 1895.

This is a site record: what public sources say about Villa City, gathered in one place. We haven't written a full guide yet, so history, current access and photos are still to come. Treat the status as unknown until a guide confirms it.
