About Whitewash Village

Whitewash Village was a village settlement on Monomoy Island in Massachusetts, established sometime around 1710. The village may have received its name from the whitewashed painted buildings, although whether this is true is unclear.

This is a site record: what public sources say about Whitewash Village, gathered in one place. We haven't written a full guide yet, so history, current access and photos are still to come. Treat the status as unknown until a guide confirms it.
