About Pinkney City

Pinkney City (also called Pinkneyville) was a small community outside of Fort Colville (US Army) in what is now Stevens County, Washington. Originally named for Brevet Major Pinkney Lugenbeel, first commander and builder of the fort in 1859.

This is a site record: what public sources say about Pinkney City, gathered in one place. We haven't written a full guide yet, so history, current access and photos are still to come. Treat the status as unknown until a guide confirms it.
