About Troy

Troy is an abandoned town in Lafayette County, Florida, United States that served as its county seat. Just like Fort Fanning, Fort "McKoon" (Macomb), Branford, Luraville and Wilcox, it was built as a boat landing on the Suwannee River about nine miles upriver from Branford.

This is a site record: what public sources say about Troy, gathered in one place. We haven't written a full guide yet, so history, current access and photos are still to come. Treat the status as unknown until a guide confirms it.
