About Ashwood
Ashwood is a ghost town in Jefferson County, Oregon, United States, 32 miles (51 km) northeast of Madras. Ashwood was named for its proximity to Ash Butte, a butte with volcanic ash deposits on its sides, and to honor Whitfield T. Wood, who settled in the area in the 1870s.
This is a site record: what public sources say about Ashwood, gathered in one place. We haven't written a full guide yet, so history, current access and photos are still to come. Treat the status as unknown until a guide confirms it.
